As per the wesite the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) is an Inter Service Organisation functioning directly under the Ministry of Defence. As per DGR's statistics and in order to maintain a youthful profile of the Armed Forces, about 60,000 service personnel are retired or released every year at relatively young age. Industry can  and should, offer employment to these soldiers for mutual benefit to the industry and to our Ex-servicemen. The DGR also has another social responsibility i.e. the care and welfare of widows of our martyred soldiers also to create and provide jobs and opportunities to them.
